What is the MXConfidenceFactor?

<MXConfidenceFactor> is included in some XML detail output formats of TestReceiver.

It is a technical measure of an MX host. It measures how many successful steps the SMTP conversation went with that host. It does not consider things like TLS versions, certificate validity, encryption method, etc.
