The first time you run BatchEdit it takes you to the Enter New Test screen. When you have one or more tests stored, BatchEdit takes you to the main Selection screen. BatchEdit lets you choose a Batch and then click a button to work with that Batch.

Before doing any production testing with Batches, we recommend you start with a simple test of your own address and have the results emailed to you. Because small, simple Batches run quickly, you can try the different results format options. The format that works best for you may not be obvious from the format names we've chosen. Try testing two or three addresses you know work to see how to test multiple targets in one Batch.

You can tell a Batch, in effect, "don't bother me unless something's broken" with Suppress lines. Setting up Suppress lines to do just that is not hard, but because it can be very important to get right we recommend trying out suppress lines to see exactly how they can work for you. For example, even if your test is perfect (score:100 plus), try a suppress line at score=999 to be sure you got it right.

When creating a new batch, Batch Edit lets you just enter the target addresses or it lets you upload the XML configuration file. Once the test is created, you must edit the XML file to make changes.

For users who do not want to touch XML files, we recommend keeping the list of targets on your PC. Maintain it, just as a list of addresses, on your PC. When you need to change the CheckTLS Batch of those addresses, paste the unadorned targets in just like a new test. We will wrap them in the proper XML.
